The 14th Annual Credit Unions for Kids Golf Classic will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 16, at Pine Creek Golf Course. This annual golf event benefits the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt and is one of the most unique golf tournaments in Middle Tennessee.
Started in 2010, the tournament is full of fun games and challenging events – its sole purpose is to raise money for the children and families at the hospital facing life-threatening illnesses and diseases. US Community Credit Union and Enbright Credit Union have collaborated to make this event continue to grow and have raised nearly $500,000 for the hospital over the last 13 years.
This year, VolCorp is joining the event as the title sponsor, and the Tennessee Credit Union League as the technology sponsor. Together, these organizations are working hard to make a difference and it could not be done without the generous support of credit union vendors, area businesses and credit union members.
In addition to the support of area credit unions and members, the Co-Op Miracle Match has played a significant role in the success of this event. Providing annual donations to the Credit Union for Kids Golf Classic, the Miracle Match has helped the event boost fundraising efforts and further its impact on these children and their families.
The Credit Union for Kids Golf Classic has the unique ability to make the players and participants feel like kids again. This isn’t your average scramble golf tournament – players participate in fun games, do silly contests, hit shots they’ve never hit before, and simply just have a great time, all while raising money for these kids who spend so much of their childhood in a hospital bed.
All proceeds raised go back to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital which serves your
