Upper Cumberland Federal Credit Union presents Mad City Money, a Budgeting Simulation, to Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) Crossville Students

A total of 46 TCAT Students attended the Mad City Money budgeting simulation presented by Upper Cumberland Federal Credit Union on July 11th 2018.  Mad City Money is a 2 hour hands-on simulation that gives the individual a taste of the real world complete with an occupation, salary, spouse, student loan debt, credit card debt, and medical insurance payments.  Several of the students and teachers helped by volunteering to manage the tables.

“We appreciate UCFCU partnering with future graduates,” said TCAT Student Success Coordinator Jena DeMars. “TCAT Crossville students are training for tomorrow’s workforce and it is imperative they understand the importance of managing their money. The Mad City Money workshop allowed students to see first-hand the value of setting a budget and keeping that spending plan.”
