United Southeast Federal Credit Union Hosts Leadership Retreat at Bristol Motor Speedway

United Southeast Federal Credit Union’s Executive Leadership Team and Leaders know the fall leaves and the beauty of East Tennessee mean something more than just the season is changing.

It means the annual gathering of leaders from all across USFCU will commence! Each year a community location is selected and a scheduled work day is set aside for personal and professional development, training and planning for the upcoming calendar year.

This year’s event took the Leadership Team to yet another community setting. Bristol Motor Speedway is visited annually by people from all across the country. So why not take the USFCU leaders to the world’s fastest half-mile oval track and enjoy the Club Suite for a “High Bank” training experience?
The planning and scheduling to make possible an opportunity for leaders to step away from the office setting is a priority to Shelly Brown, president and CEO.

“We continue investing professionally in those who lead the Credit Union every day,” said Shelly. “The engagement and team-building that occurs outside of the work setting makes us even stronger when we come together to focus strategically on making the Credit Union the best it can be for our members and our teams.”

The training event included a session on emotional intelligence training, review and discussion of USFCU’s strategic objectives and a SWOT analysis. A motivational presentation rounded out the day focused on identifying and developing our personal joy and purpose.

“I look forward to this day every year,” said Becky Walsh, branch manager. “We are able to learn and develop as well as hear all the USFCU accomplishments in a relaxed setting. We recognize we are each connected by one common bond – serving our members.”

Leadership engagement and development are ‘winners’ every day at United Southeast Federal Credit Union.
