After 51 years with United Southeast Federal Credit Union (USFCU), President/Chief Executive Officer Janice Jones retired on July 30, 2021.
Jones has served in various positions throughout the credit union during her five-decade career, beginning as a clerk and moving to other areas, including operations and accounting. Before moving into her current role, she served as Chief Operations Officer and as Executive Vice President.
She has obtained numerous industry distinctions and honors, including a Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE) designation. She was recognized by the National Credit Union Institute for her outstanding commitment to career-long professional development. Jones completed the Credit Union National Association’s (CUNA) Financial Counseling School and CUNA’s Financial Management School, and the Dale Carnegie Leadership Development program. In 2015, Jones was inducted into the Tennessee Credit Union Hall of Fame. She obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Management from Tusculum College.
Janice has also championed numerous philanthropic efforts in Bristol, including initiatives on financial literacy that USFCU has shared within the community and local school systems. In 2017, then-Speaker of the House for Tennessee, Beth Harwell, appointed her to the Tennessee Financial Literacy Commission, where she continues to serve as a board member.
She is a member of the Bristol Morning Rotary Club and has served the last several years as a director on the Rotary Board. In addition, Jones served as the Chair of the Board of Directors for the Bristol TN/VA Chamber of Commerce and has served in several officer positions, including President of the Northeast Tennessee Chapter of Credit Unions, Secretary of Volunteer Corporate Credit Union, and Vice-Chair of Tennessee Credit Union League.

Janice and her husband, Wayne, are blessed with two children, Jeremy and Jennifer, a son-in-law Kane, and a granddaughter, Pearl.
