TVFCU Announces Key Leadership Promotions

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (June 24, 2024) — Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union (TVFCU) recently announced several key promotions within its leadership team. Tammy Zumbrun has been promoted to Director of Marketing Community Relations, Jeff Gallaher has been promoted to Director of Accounting and Automated Payments, Larry Chapman has been promoted to Director of Collections and Loan Support/Quality Control, and Matt Hopkins has been promoted to Director of Human Resources.

Tammy Zumbrun, with 39 years at TVFCU, will now serve as Director of Marketing Community Relations. In her new role, she will continue to oversee the credit union’s community engagement and marketing initiatives, leveraging her extensive experience to further elevate TVFCU’s community presence. Zumbrun has been instrumental in advancing TVFCU’s mission and values through her strategic insights and exceptional collaboration skills.

Jeff Gallaher, who has been with TVFCU for eight years, has been promoted to Director of Accounting and Automated Payments. Gallaher has played a crucial role in strengthening TVFCU’s financial position through his deep understanding of systems, procedures, and reporting requirements. His strategic leadership will guide the Accounting and Automated Payments departments to achieve new milestones.

Larry Chapman, with nearly four years at TVFCU and previous experience at First Horizon, BBVA Compass, and BB&T, has been promoted to Director of Collections and Loan Support/Quality Control. Chapman’s proactive approach and extensive knowledge have optimized TVFCU’s collections processes, ensuring compliance and efficiency. In his new role, he will continue to enhance the effectiveness of the Collections and Loan Support/Quality Control teams.

Matt, who has been with TVFCU’s HR Department in various capacities since 2015, has been promoted to Director of Human Resources. He graduated from UTC with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management and General Management and completed TVFCU’s Leadership School in 2019. In 2021, he successfully completed the CUES Emerging Leader program, earning the designation of Certified Credit Union Manager. Matt has played a pivotal role in developing the organization’s mentoring initiatives, serving on the Mentoring Committee, participating as a mentor, and presenting at TVFCU’s Leadership School.
