The Raiffeisen Group, LLC (TRGroup) hosted its first collaborative conference in Nashville, Tenn., in mid-September. More than 80 credit union professionals from six states attended the TRGroup’s Compliance and Risk Management Conference that was hosted by the Tennessee Credit Union League.
“We were honored to host the first-ever joint event for the TRGroup in Nashville,” said Kim Bohannon, chief innovation officer, Tennessee Credit Union League. “Tennessee is centrally located among the states that comprise the TRGroup, so Nashville was a great location for the event as it is easily accessible. While the TRGroup has hosted virtual professional development opportunities, this was the first time we collaboratively planned and executed an in-person event.”
The two-day, in-person professional development event featured an array of industry experts and networking opportunities to help compliance and risk management professionals stay ahead of industry trends and to gain valuable peer-to-peer connections.

The TRGroup was created in 2017 by the trade associations serving credit unions in Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia. The TRGroup aims to empower the 745 combined credit unions to better serve their members, build loyalty, expand market share, realize savings on certain operational functions and grow revenue.
The TRGroup will host a Women’s Leadership Conference in early October, which will be hosted by the Louisiana Credit Union League.
