We discussed the Credit Card Competition Act and the potential hearing on the bill on April 9 in the Senate Judiciary Committee. Last week, Sens. Josh Hawley (R-MO) and Jack Reed (D-RI) announced they would co-sponsor the Credit Card Competition Act ahead of the hearing. On the House side of the Hill, we discussed CDFI modernization and reform, namely the CDFI Fund Transparency Act and new legislation to give tax credits to businesses that invest in CDFIs. We continued discussion on overdraft protection and credit union board modernization and everyone in Washington looks forward to seeing our Tennessee credit unions next month at the GAC!
