First of all, THANK YOU to everyone who attended the Summer Advocacy Forum last week in Nashville. It was an incredible meeting, and we were so grateful to be able to gather in person once again with one another. Deb Sofield delivered a wonderful keynote on how to talk to your legislators – skills that all advocates, regardless of how experienced, can use in their efforts.
We were so fortunate to have so many excellent speakers. Richard Gose with CUNA and Chris Sinclair of Sinclair Public Affairs provided us with a wonderful foundation on media training, both earned and social. They are available for 1 on 1 media training to take your knowledge further. If you’d like to participate in that, please email swaters@yourleague.org.
Commissioner Greg Gonzales updated the group from the Department of Financial Institutions and commended credit unions for their good work during the pandemic.
We will continue to work to get our legislators into credit unions, so be ready for Matt or Sarah to reach out on that in the coming months! Thank you for all you do as credit union advocates!
