The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, in cooperation with the Tennessee Area Agency on Aging and Disability, has launched an online resource center to help educate and protect Tennesseans from fraud and abuse.
SafeSeniorTN.com provides guidance on financial, personal safety and technology to help protect seniors from crime.
“We are excited to be a partner organization for the state’s SafeSenior TN Resource Center,” said Kim Bohannon, chief innovation officer at the Tennessee Credit Union League. “We encourage you to share the resource center with your members and the community. The key to combatting financial exploitation is through education.”
The SafeSenior TN campaign site also includes TBI Find and TN CareKit.
The TBI Find mobile app is an Apple and Android-friendly mobile application meant to provide the public with up-to-the-minute updates on Silver Alerts.
TN CareKit is one of the app’s main features, which allows users to compile information and pictures of loved ones to email to law enforcement in the event of an emergency.
