Southern Security Federal Credit Union has experienced record growth for over a decade. As part of an extensive growth strategy that includes a recent announcement of expanding its service area to underserved populations in the Mid-South, Southern Security broke ground on a new corporate headquarters and member services branch at 819 Southern Home Road in Collierville, Tenn.
“Southern Security has been community-focused since we opened our doors 75 years ago,” said Dawn Graeter, president and CEO of Southern Security. “After a period of unprecedented growth, we are proud to announce that we are investing $7 million in our hometown community to build a new corporate headquarters and member services branch. Thank you to all of our members and partner organizations for your years of trust and partnership that made this day possible.”
The new Southern Security corporate headquarters and member services branch will house corporate employee workspaces, corporate training facilities, in-person member services support facilities, in-person and electronic drive-through financial services support, and a dedicated coffee service area for members and employees.
Southern Security supports nonprofit and community efforts throughout the Mid-South and is also invested in the Collierville community, where the new corporate headquarters will be located. Southern Security is a significant supporter of Collierville Public Schools and the Collierville Education Foundation.
Southern Security recently expanded its field of membership to underserved portions of the Mid-South, including a larger portion of Memphis and an additional 18 counties in Tennessee, Mississippi and Arkansas following a merger with Binsy Federal Credit Union.
