About Collierville Education Foundation
The Collierville Education Foundation (CEF) was founded in June 1996 with the primary purpose of championing educational excellence in the Collierville public schools through fundraising which would provide grants to teachers for educational enrichment. Through the efforts of John Green, CEF received its 501(c)(3) status as a non-profit in December 1997.
Prior to the formation of CEF, there were two ongoing projects to support the Collierville public school teachers. The first was a small grants program supported by Carrier Corporation. The second was an annual Teacher’s Appreciation Luncheon that began in 1988 through the leadership of John Green. CEF combined these efforts with additional fundraising activities, expanding the efforts year after year. Learn more at colliervilleeducationfoundation.org.
