ORNL Federal Credit Union (ORNL FCU) has announced that Stephen McAtee of Rock Island, IL has been selected to fill the role of Senior Vice President (SVP) & Chief Technology Officer (CTO). McAtee will assume this role effective October 23, 2017.
As part of the executive management team, McAtee will play a key role in the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of ORNL FCU’s information technology systems. His responsibilities will include evaluating new technology and technology applications; establishing and implementing information systems security policies and procedures; managing technology resources; and leading the strategic management of the Credit Union’s technological experience for members and employees.
Before joining ORNL FCU, McAtee most recently served as Chief Information Officer at Vibrant Credit Union in Moline, IL. Prior to that position, he held various significant information technology roles with RSM McGladrey, Inc. in Davenport, IA and IT Consulting in St. Louis, MO.
“Steve brings lots of strong and relevant experience to the Credit Union. His background seems to be a great fit for the needs of ORNL FCU and our membership—especially as the industry faces new competition and as members expect more from technology,” said Colin Anderson, ORNL FCU President & CEO.
McAfee holds a bachelor’s degree from Augustana College in Rock Island, IL. He is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and is a member of IT Alliance and RSM International Committee. Aside from spending time with his wife, Hope, and two children, McAtee is a Scoutmaster and has attained the rank of Eagle Scout.
