Northeast Community Credit Union is pleased to announce David LeVeau has joined the credit union as commercial loan manager. Since hiring LeVeau, NCCU has implemented a robust commercial lending program at the Credit Union to assist local businesses with their financing needs.
LeVeau brings 23 years of financial experience to Northeast Community Credit Union from the community banking industry and elsewhere. He has a BS degree in Business Administration from UNC-Chapel Hill, a Masters of Accountancy from ETSU and graduated from the LSU Graduate School of Banking in 2019.
NCCU President/CEO Teresa Arnold says LeVeau is “a perfect fit for our credit union”, noting his extensive financial background, his commitment to family financial wellness, and his hands-on approach to community development. “Commercial lending at the local small business level is something we have had a lot of demand for recently, and having someone on staff who knows both the dynamics of a healthy business model along with how we can best help our local businesses consistently achieve success is definitely a win/win.”
Established in 1952, NCCU assets have grown to nearly $180 million and membership is at nearly 13,000 members. Open to students and youth, adults and businesses that live, work, worship or attend school in Carter, Johnson, Washington, Unicoi and Sullivan counties and their families, NCCU currently serves members in four branches and across multiple digital channels.
NCCU’s new program offers commercial real estate loans, business equipment and vehicle loans and business lines of credit to its business members. LeVeau will be assisting current business members and seeking ways to help potential business members in the community. These products support the credit union’s core value and mission of “people helping people” to improve lives here at home, including strengthening the community’s financial wellness by helping families and boosting economic development.
Just as with individuals, businesses in Carter, Johnson, Sullivan, Washington, and Unicoi counties become members of Northeast Community Credit Union by depositing a single “share” ($5) which provides ownership in the credit union and makes owners eligible to apply for consumer and commercial loan products as well as checking, investments, debit and credit cards, and more.
LeVeau is also involved in the community having served on several non-profit boards and coaching youth sports. LeVeau is married nearly 13 years to his wife Anette and has several children and grandchildren he enjoys spending time with.
