We wanted to share information from Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union in Chattanooga, Tenn., about the passing of longtime board member, Louis Wright. Wright was a volunteer leader for TVFCU for more than 25 years and was the brother-in-law of Geraldine Cardwell, former executive vice president and chief financial officer at the League.
“Louis provided tremendous guidance to our organization through his service on our Board, including serving terms as treasurer from 1996 to 2009 and as chairman from 2009 to 2013,” said Todd Fortner, president and CEO of TVFCU. “Louis was a champion of TVFCU maintaining a strong financial position, and our financial strength today is a direct result of the leadership he provided during his tenure. Louis was also a champion for credit union members and supportive of our employees. He was a great friend to TVFCU, and we will miss his guidance and his signature laugh. Our deepest sympathies to his wife, Billie, and his family.”
