LG&W Federal Credit Union Celebrates Memphis’ Martin Luther King Memorial Day with Member Service

LG&W Federal Credit Union hosted its Annual Meeting on Tuesday, April 4. This was the first in-person Annual Meeting since the pandemic. In addition, the Memphis-based credit union also used the day for staff training. Kim Bohannon was in town for the staff training.

The date of April 4 is significant because the City of Memphis recognizes the day as Martin Luther King Memorial Day. City offices and other businesses close in the solemn remembrance of Martin Luther King’s death in Memphis. He was assassinated on April 4, 1968 at 6:01 p.m. This year marks 55 years since King was shot and killed on the second-floor balcony outside of room 306 at the Lorraine Motel.
