Leaders Credit Union, a member-owned financial cooperative based in Jackson, Tenn., has been named the Best Credit Union to Work For in Tennessee and ninth overall in the nation, according to American Banker.

To be nominated to be the Best Credit Union to Work For, American Banker looked at the credit union’s assets, work culture, benefits and community involvement. There was also a confidential survey by the Best Companies Group for employees. Through this survey, Leaders financial champions were able to voice their opinions about their work experiences and employee satisfaction. The results of this survey helped determine the rankings of credit unions across the country. Seventy credit unions were placed, and Leaders ranked nineth overall in the United States.
