Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union has served East Tennessee communities for 90 years. To celebrate nearly a century of trust and support from the community, the Credit Union deposited
$500 into the accounts of 90 randomly selected KTVAECU Members, totaling $45,000 of cash gifts.
Throughout 2024, the Credit Union celebrated by giving back to Members and the community in meaningful ways. Payments totaling $45,000 were made to 90 Member credit card balances, cash gifts were given to Members at Annual Meeting, and more celebrations happened at KTVAECU’s 90th birthday and Member Appreciation Day. KTVAECU also contributed over 10,000 volunteer hours to local organizations and community programs.
Lynn Summers, CEO and President of KTVAECU, said, “Our Membership is at the heart of everything we do. We wouldn’t still be here after 90 years without their trust in us. This milestone anniversary gave us a unique opportunity to show our thanks in a way that directly impacted our Members’ lives.”
When phone calls were made to notify the 90 randomly selected winners, their reactions were recorded and shared anonymously with their permission.
“You have no idea how much we needed this,” said one winning Member. Another plans to use their gift to help fund crucial medical care.
