The Inheritance of Hope Family Retreat sponsored by Tennessee’s credit unions will be July 28-31 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville. Since August 2021, in Tennessee, credit unions have raised nearly $60,000 to help fund this retreat. Approximately 25 families with a parent with a terminal illness are scheduled to attend.
Several of you have asked how you can help or participate. We invite staff, directors and their families to come to the Gaylord Opryland and meet some of the families and see how your donations are making an impact. Please contact Kim Bohannon if you want to stop by the retreat for specific directions and information. If you are in the area and can stop by, the families and staff at Inheritance of Hope would love to meet you, even if it is just for a few minutes.
How You Can Help
We still need donations to help fund the retreat. Many children describe their time at an Inheritance of Hope retreat as life-changing. During a retreat, they meet friends who are going through the same situation they are in. They meet friends who get it. That’s what your support does; it gives children with a parent with a terminal illness a chance to feel normal, even if it is just a weekend – always at no cost to their families.
