Q: How long have you been in the credit union industry?
Karen Climer: 38 years (33 at EFCU)
Q: What is the best advice you have ever been given?
KC: Trust in the Lord first, everything else will fall in place. Each day Is a new adventure and when you can walk away and say you have “learned something “ it’s been a good day. Always do your best and you will succeed.
Q: What advice would you give to a young credit union professional?
KC: The credit union movement has always been about people helping people and that stands true today. Never hesitate to ask another credit union person for help or advice, regardless of what size credit union they work for.
Q: What do you think people would be surprised to learn that you know how to do?
KC: I’m a “Gold Digger!” My husband Teddy and I have been going to gold camps and digging for gold for about 9 years.
Q: Do you have a pet?
KC: We have a Blue Healer named Maudie that is rotten and loves to play fetch!
