Eastman Credit Union Returns $16 Million to Members

In December, Kelly Price, Eastman Credit Union’s president and CEO, announced that this year’s Extraordinary Dividend will bring the total given back to members since 1998 to $209 million.

“We are always thankful to give back to our members and communities in extraordinary ways,” said Price. “Returning an Extraordinary Dividend is a way to show ECU members our appreciation for their loyalty. This year’s dividend will disperse $16 million among qualifying members.”

ECU’s Extraordinary Dividend payout to members in January 2025 is calculated based on the interest paid on loans and earned on deposits throughout the year.

“The year-end dividend is only one way we give back to members,” said Price. “We give back to members in extraordinary ways every day through special product features like free checking accounts and unique financing options, great rates, and caring service. We take the time to help every member because their financial well-being is our top priority.”

The strong financial performance of ECU in 2024 led ECU’s board of directors to approve this year-end bonus.
