CN/IC Employees Credit Union employees celebrated their 90th Anniversary in October by hosting an Old-Fashioned Picnic for members.
“With over 100 people in attendance, everyone enjoyed the comradery, the great food and the beautiful weather,” said Sandra Griffis, manager at CN/IC Employees Credit Union. “Our event was held at The Ark Trails in Hernando, Miss., where they have a great outdoor pavilion and plenty of room for fun and games. One of our young members, Miss Macy Pearson, provided entertainment showing off her great vocal talent.”
“Young and old joined in on the games,” said Griffis. “We had several groups of our young members join in the tug-of-war fun and then the older gentlemen decided to give it a go! Games included horseshoes, sack races, tug of war, egg spoon races, tic tac toe, checkers, tomahawk throw, duck pond, fishing, sucker pulls and mini golf. We even had face painting for the little ones. The scavenger hunt was a real hit with the prize winner receiving $90 in cash! The weather was perfect and some of our guests took advantage of the beautiful hiking trails at The Ark. We had some fabulous door prizes thanks to our vendors and everyone went home with a beautiful picnic blanket that they could enjoy with their families.”
