The Chattanooga Chapter of Credit Unions recently hosted its annual Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) training, bringing together credit union professionals from across the greater Chattanooga area for an evening of essential compliance education over dinner. Held at The Oaks Coffeehouse, this two-hour event provided attendees with critical insights into identifying and preventing financial crimes while helping ensure regulatory compliance within their institutions.
Laura Parrish of the Tennessee Credit Union League led the session, guiding participants through key compliance topics and encouraging discussion on real-world challenges. Attendees were given the opportunity to ask questions and gain practical strategies tailored to their credit union’s needs.
“BSA training can be intense, but Laura is able to present the material in an engaging manner that resonates with the listener,” said Brenda Edwards, vice president of the Chattanooga Chapter of Credit Unions. “Laura and the Tennessee Credit Union League are invaluable resources for Tennessee credit unions!
