Chapter Leadership Conference

This month, the directors of each credit union chapter across Tennessee came together for the Chapter Leadership Conference in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Chapter leaders learned about the history of the credit union chapter system in Tennessee and collaborated on ideas to enrich the future of the credit union chapter system.

The credit union chapters in Tennessee are an extension of the Tennessee Credit Union League. Credit union chapters were created to further the mission of developing credit unions and their service to members. The purpose of the credit union chapter system in Tennessee is to:

  • Disseminate information to credit unions from the Tennessee Credit Union League and Affiliates.
  • Provide grassroots information from the credit unions to the Tennessee Credit Union League and affiliates.
  • Assist the Tennessee Credit Union League and affiliates in furthering the support and development of Tennessee Credit Unions.
  • Exchange ideas and information of mutual interest concerning credit unions.

Credit union chapters offer opportunities for credit union professionals to develop through training, education, and peer-to-peer networking. The chapter system helps build connections and empower future leaders through leadership, education, advocacy, and action philosophy.

Currently, the active credit union chapters in Tennessee include:

  • Chattanooga Chapter of Credit Unions
  • Hiwassee Chapter of Credit Unions
  • Knoxville Area Chapter of Credit Unions
  • Memphis Chapter of Credit Unions
  • Middle TN Chapter of Credit Unions
