The Bowater Credit Union Gold Checking Travel Club started their most recent adventure bright and early Friday, Dec. 15, to Juliette, Ga.
On the way down to Juliette, the group watched Fried Green Tomatoes, as this was the theme of this trip. The first stop made was at the Whistle Stop Cafe, where Fried Green Tomatoes was originally filmed!
After a delicious lunch, the group explored the rest of the street, which had little shops inspired by the movie. The second stop was at the Jarrell Plantation. Much was learned about the first Christmas trees and other Christmas traditions between the 1800 and 1900s.
Kaye Tucker, event attendee and Bowater Credit Union member, even shared with our trip leader, “It was a well-planned and organized trip! Fun was had by all!”
