Another successful Christmas in July at Bowater Credit Union!
Every year Bowater Credit Union holds a toy and coat drive with and for the Goodfellows. Each branch is given a huge black tote for their lobby to collect coats and toys throughout the month of July.
“As one can imagine large totes are not the best-looking lobby décor so each of our branches pick a Christmas theme and compete for the best decorated Christmas tote, our branches did not disappoint! We had gingerbread houses, giant Christmas trees, winter wonderlands with Baby Yoda, candy cane lanes, and more” said Kelsey O’Daniel, marketing director of Bowater Credit Union.
Bowater Credit Union’s members did not disappoint either. Members filled one tote so full it began to overflow.
The mission of the Goodfellows is to act as an avenue for charitable donations for the surrounding communities in Calhoun, Tenn., area. One of their main focuses each year is preparing Christmas baskets that contain food, toys and coats for families in the community that need a little extra Christmas cheer.
Thanks to the generosity of so many there will be a lot of smiling faces this year!
