Ascend Federal Credit Union has raised $5,250 to benefit the Susan G. Komen foundation.
Ascend employees participated in Komen’s “Passionately Pink for the Cure” by contributing at least $5 to “dress down” to blue jeans and pink shirts on Fridays and Saturdays in October.
The credit union also bathed its Corporate Headquarters in Tullahoma with pink lights to support the cause in October. This is the fourteenth consecutive year that Ascend has supported the Komen foundation with a fundraiser.
With more than $2 billion in assets, more than 170,000 members and more than 400 employees, Ascend is the largest credit union in Middle Tennessee and one of the largest federally chartered credit unions in the United States. The National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU) selected Ascend as the 2015 Federal Credit Union of the Year. Ascend is federally insured by the NCUA.
