Participating in the Society’s “Costumed for a Cure,” Ascend employees dressed in costumes or decorated pumpkins on Halloween. Members and other employees voted for their favorite costume or pumpkin by placing a donation of at least $1 in that person’s collection box.

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society helps people suffering from leukemia, lymphoma and other blood-borne cancers. Seventy-five cents of every dollar goes to fund research and patient aid. Over the past 11 years, Ascend has raised more than $29,000.

With more than $2 billion in assets, more than 170,000 members and more than 400 employees, Ascend is the largest credit union in Middle Tennessee and one of the largest federally chartered credit unions in the United States. The National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU) selected Ascend as the 2015 Federal Credit Union of the Year. Ascend is federally insured by the NCUA.
