Ascend ended 2017 by donating more than $1,800 to three Middle Tennessee charities.
A Christmas decoration contest by credit union employees helped ensure local children received gifts Christmas morning from Toys for Tots.
Last month, Ascend was the presenting sponsor of the River of Hope Radiothon, which benefited the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.
The credit union also once again participated in the Middle Tennessee Chapter of Credit Unions (MTCU) toy drive. The annual drive benefits children from 8 weeks to 18 years of age in foster care with the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services.
With more than $2 billion in assets, more than 170,000 members and more than 500 employees, Ascend is the largest credit union in Middle Tennessee and one of the largest federally chartered credit unions in the United States. The National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU) selected Ascend as the 2015 Federal Credit Union of the Year. Ascend is federally insured by the NCUA.
