Appalachian Community Federal Credit Union (ACFCU) has named Miranda Gray Cooper as Chief Experience Officer (CXO). Cooper joined ACFCU in February 2021 and has been instrumental in the development of the internal and external marketing functions and assessing and strengthening the member relationship areas. In this new leadership position, she will also be responsible for the overall direction of ACFCU’s six branch locations.
“We are excited to expand Miranda’s role in the financial journey of our members,” said Andrew Mullins, ACFCU CEO and President. “This change will further enhance and sustain our goals for excellence in member relationship experiences in all operations and service areas.”
With more than 25 years of experience, Cooper previously served the credit union as the vice president of member experience and will continue to oversee all marketing, communication, and business development functions.
She holds a degree in communication with a concentration in public relations from East Tennessee State University (ETSU). While at ETSU, she was inducted into the Student Leader Hall of Fame, named Outstanding Communication Student, and selected as Outstanding Sorority President for Alpha Delta Pi.
A graduate of SHOUT! and Leadership Kingsport, she went on to be named to the Business Journal’s 40 under Forty as well as being selected as the Rogersville Review’s Best of the Best Businesswoman. She has also served as a past volunteer for several community organizations including Meals On Wheels, United Way and Junior Achievement among others.
The Hawkins County native resides in Church Hill with her husband, Kevin, and daughter, Delaney.
