Your Trainer

Kevin Denver is the Director of Member Services for the Tennessee Credit Union League. Kevin’s prime focus is helping credit unions grow and serve their members, and promoting the credit union philosophy throughout Tennessee.

Kevin began his credit union career over 30 years ago, starting as a loan counselor with Chattanooga TVA Employees Federal Credit Union, then as the Assistant General Manager with Dupont Community Credit Union, and finally found a job as the CEO of City Employees Credit Union. Kevin has worked at every position in a credit union, including the janitor, and has been involved with credit union associations on the national, state and local levels.

In 1991 Kevin joined the CUNA Mutual Group as an Account Manager serving the small to mid sized credit union markets in Tennessee. In October of 2006, Kevin had the opportunity to become part of the Tennessee Credit Union League, which would allow him to further serve the movement through the trade association route.

Kevin attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and majored in business and beer. He has earned the Certified Credit Union Executive and Certified Financial Services Professional designations, and is a fully licensed insurance agent in four states.

Kevin has been married to his first wife, Jane, for over 32 years and has 2 grown children, Jon 23 and Jenny 25, whose life ambitions are to spend every dollar of their parents money. Kevin enjoys playing poor golf, cooking excellent food and makes his home in Hixson, Tennessee.
